Manyara - is a medium strong but full-spiced Blend. Firecured Virginia, intense Burley, abundant Louisiana Perique, Darkfired Kentucky as a ready rubbed flake and ribbon cut, Oriental, as well as a touch of Brasil and a hint of Latakia. This impressive ingredient list guarantees a very complex taste, which always oscillates between woody, leathery-sweet, earthy, chocolaty and ethereal flavors. Manyara proves that Kentucky-mixes are not monotonous and overly strong. A blend for friends of spicy, tobacco-like Mixtures that value a nuanced taste.
Since the Manyara is packed in a tin, which can be hermetically sealed thanks to the metal pressure lid, you can store the opened tobacco even for a longer time. The tobacco fibers contained in the tin show in their color the different varieties of the Mixture - they are black, medium and light brown and narrow, but sometimes longer and sometimes shorter cut. The Ready Rubbed portions seem to be so finely rubbed that they are hardly noticeable. The scent is sweetish-smoky and reminiscent of autumn leaves, as is common in oriental Mixtures. You may dry the tobacco briefly before plugging to improve the burn even more.
As a loose Mixture, the Manyara can be stuffed without further ado: simply fill in loosely at the bottom and gently press firmly upwards. More is not needed to ensure an even burning.
Briefly dried, the Manyara absorbs the flame so well that it hardly needs a second flame to produce a uniform glow. If necessary, you can smoothen the surface lightly with the tamper to achieve a very durable ember.
The Manyara proves to be a rather English-looking Mixture, whereby Latakia and Oriental keep the smoke cool, while tasting just little ethereal and light. The tobacco is not heavy, but it is tangy and smoky, which is achieved by the strong Orientals as well as by the intense spicy tobaccos Kentucky and Perique. None of the components stand out, at most you may taste an unusual resinous impact, which can be attributed to the Oriental or the Brasil. Otherwise, there is a clearly strong, but very balanced taste. The quiet burning is followed by the uncomplicated cleaning of some medium gray, fine ash and almost no condensate.
The smell of the Manyara is for tobacco and due to the content of oriental tobaccos it is not suitable for societies that do not like English mixtures.
The Manyara is a uniform Mixture in all shades of brown that can be easily plugged and ignited. The smoke is cool and not burdensome strong, but clearly marked by the variety of spicy tobaccos, especially Kentucky, Brasil, Oriental and Latakia. These do not compete with each other in the course of the smoke, but are balanced in such a way that an intense but harmonious taste pattern is created. So the Manyara especially pleases lovers of strong English blends looking for an uncomplicated tobacco that suits almost every occasion.
