Nørding Tobacco Tumbleweed, a blend of the finest Virginia, Burley and Black Cavendish tobaccos, with a subtly flavored vanilla note. A classic that you will find again and again for your pipe smoking enjoyment.
The Tumbleweed surprises when opened with an unusually fruity fragrance, it reminds less of the vanilla used, but a mixture of passion fruit and peach. Less nice is the finding that the cover sheet looks damp. The tobacco below is evenly mixed light and medium brown. Through this picture, some darker fibers are drawn. The curly Tumbleweed shows up middle long, but there are also considerably larger parts underneath. This and the humidity that can be felt when touched, should cause to dry the tobacco for an hour before being plugged.
The Tumbleweed proves to be a bit cumbersome due to the bigger parts of the leaves, so that a bigger pipe and a bit of care are recommended, if you want to smoke the tobacco easily. In principle, however, you can plug the Tumbleweed as you would with other loose Mixtures, starting loosely at the bottom and ending up tighter at the top.
As expected, the Tumbleweed requires a little attention even when lit. As the coarser leaf components expand under the flame heat, smooth the surface with the tamper and then use the second flame to create a persistent glow.
The Tumbleweed has a mild smokiness and delicate spiciness unlike any other vanilla flavored tobaccos. Even the vanilla is tastable, but different than you might expect. The tobacco is quite sweet, but not overly. The naturally spicy tobacco aromas are always present, but are accompanied by a very slightly floral note, which is less reminiscent of the fully aromatic pod of vanilla than their delicate fragrant flower. After the somewhat more demanding preparations, the Tumbleweed shows itself very frugal in the pipe and burns down calmly and down to the last third with a constant aroma. The only remnants left are medium gray ash and almost no condensate, which may be considered as an award for flavored tobacco.
Although the redolency of the Tumbleweed is not the usual vanilla flavor, it is quite so pleasant that it is likely to attract positive attention in tolerant society.
The inconsistent cutting of the predominantly light and medium brown Tumbleweed does not necessarily make the preparation beginner-friendly. In the aftermath of the non-burdensome tobacco is so straightforward that you want to recommend it again to everyone. Above all, however, due to the unusual vanilla aroma, which differs significantly from the variety of these tobaccos. In addition to a mild natural flavor, the Tumbleweed shows a rather floral sweetness, which never seems sugary or too strong, but always encourages tongue-pleasing, to feel for the secret of this vanilla. A really exciting tobacco for those who are not looking for an all-purpose vanilla tobacco, but something special.
