Manufacturer Description:
A tobacco with a great aroma. The Cavendish is only dried after cutting (crimp-cut process). Excellent burning due to the pipe-friendly cutting width.
Characterisation:
While the Mixture No. 4 in the tin is better suited for longer storage, so you can take the pouch very convenient. The cut is, as announced by the manufacturer a bit frizzy and of medium width and length. The predominant color is a lighter brown, in which mix some darker fibers. From the freshly opened pack flows a slightly sweetish scent vaguely reminiscent of green grapes. The moisture content is just right to be plugged right away.
Plugging:
The Mixture No. 4 can be very easily plugged by loosely placing it in the bottom of the pipe and closing it up with gentle pressure. This is enough for a uniform burning.
Light up:
Almost a single flame is sufficient to get the Mixture No. 4 to ignite. In order to achieve a really even glow, you should smoothen the surface with the tamper, and then again give fire carefully. By the end of the filling the tobacco then no longer needs attention.
Smoking properties:
The smoke of Mixture No. 4 is unusually tobacco-spicy for a Cavendish, a Casing is barely to taste, at best, a very natural acting sweetness in the background. Harmonious with pleasant roasty flavors that round off the spice and so make the overall picture consistent. The burning is just as uncomplicated and leaves only a little medium-gray ash and hardly any condensate, so that the cleaning of the pipe is very simple.
Redolency:
The redolence of Mixture No. 4 is for tobacco and needs a tolerant society, if you do not want to attract attention.
Conclusion:
Inconspicuous in a positive meaning characterizes the Mixture No. 4 best. Both in the preparation, as well as in the smoke makes the bright, sweet-smelling Crimp-Cut no effort. And even in the smoke, the tobacco is straightforward, with a Cavendish unusual tobacco flavor, which keeps the tobacco from arbitrariness. If a Casing was added to the Cavendish, it is a very discreet one. In any case, only a gentle sweetness is to taste, which joint with mild roasted notes provides for the necessary rounding. The Mixture No. 4 is a tobacco that suits every occasion without being too light or too sweet.
