The ashtray is made from stonewashed aluminum. Its raw aluminum finish gives it a distinctive industrial look, while marks from the production process make each individual piece unique.

Inspired by the Wabi-Sabi philosophy, the natural evolution of the material is intentionally embraced as part of the design. Over time, natural marks such as stains and oxidation can create a distinctive and beautiful patina.

The MONAD features a furniture pad fixed under the ashtray to help prevent scratching on surfaces.
