Characterisation:
The Best Blend shows up as a mixture, which is composed of shorter and longer cuts, the color is predominantly medium to dark brown with lighter proportions. The fragrance is sweetish and in its permeability appears almost alcoholic, but even the Latakia is smoky to sniff. The tobacco is firmly compressed and looks a bit damp, so it should be allowed to dry for one hour before smoking.
Plugging:
The plugging of the Best Blend is easy, since the tobacco tolerates even harder pressure, so you can not go wrong here.
Light up:
Even when lighting the Best Blend, there are hardly any problems. After the first flame, you can gently go smoothly over the surface with the tamper, and then evenly give fire one last time.
Smoking properties:
The Best Blend is based on a medium-strength Virginia, whose strong toasted bread notes harmonize well with the herb-spicy and at the same time ethereal incense flavors of Latakia. The tobacco gains a certain strength due of its fullness of flavor, which should not be confused with an excessive strength. However, one should not smoke too greedy, since the tobacco tends otherwise to gargling and tingles on the tongue. If one observes this, only fine, white ashes and hardly any condensate remains in the pipe, which makes the cleaning very pleasant.
Redolency:
The room note of the Best Blend is strong correspondingly to a tobacco with Latakia, so that this tobacco is especially suitable for groups of like-minded people or in fresh air.
Conclusion:
The Best Blend is a predominantly dark Mixture with pleasantly sweet smell, which offers however in the smoke predominantly stronger aromas. Although the tobacco is not overly strong, the strong Latakia spiciness, as well as the attention that should be paid when smoking, make the Best Blend more suitable for a more experienced smoker. Just the balance of typical Virginia-aromas of toasted bread and the Latakia swaying between fine and austere make the Best Blend an experience for lovers of English tobacco blends.
