Manufacturer Description:
The Nebari is a high-contrast oriental blend, which is wonderfully complemented by a Virginia/Burley cube cut and a decent perique and knows how to show all the facets of an interesting tobacco blend. Board the Orient Express "Nebari" and set off towards sweet and spicy indulgence.
Characterisation:
The Nebari is a mixture. A fine, elongated cut of light, medium and green-brown color mixed with a dark, light mottled ready rubbed and scattered cubes. Isolated leaf veins give the tobacco a rustic appearance. The scent hardly reveals the aroma used, but it is sweet and, as is not unusual with tobaccos containing perique, it is somewhat reminiscent of multivitamin juice. The moisture level is just right to plug the nebari right away.
Plugging:
Since the Nebari is a mixture, the plugging should be done carefully. The Ready Rubbed can be rubbed a bit more before putting the tobacco into the pipe with just a little pressure.
Light up:
Well prepared, the Nebari hardly causes any problems when lighting. After the first flame, you press down gently with the tamper and after a last fire you get a permanent ember.
Smoking properties:
The Nebari flatters with a soft and mildly spicy smoke. This is rather light, so that you can concentrate fully on the aroma. The cocoa is used discreetly. In the interplay with the very clearly pronounced toast aromas, the light impression of a well-known chocolate spread on toast is created. Blown out through the nose, this is accompanied by a flowery but not intrusive aroma, which - for an oriental blend - is surprisingly reminiscent of Irish tobaccos. The Nebari burns down easily, but a little faster. However, it hardly gets hot and leaves a powdery, white ash and almost no condensate in the pipe. The cleaning is just as uncomplicated as the smoking process.
Redolency:
Since the Nebari contains Oriental and the aromatization does not overlay this in the smoke, you should coordinate with your surroundings if you want to smoke the tobacco.
Conclusion:
The blend of the Nebari consists of lighter loose fibers, a dark Ready Rubbed and some cubes. The aroma used already shows that the Nebari is not a typical oriental tobacco. The Nebari is rather mild. Very clear bread aromas harmonize here with the cocoa transported in light smoke, which awakens such pleasant associations with chocolate cream. Surprisingly flowery aromas and a soft spiciness create a varied taste profile. If care is taken in the preparation of the blend, the Nebari proves to be an uncomplicated tobacco that does not burn too long, making it suitable for an occasional pipe without being burdensome.
