On April 18, 1775 Poul Revere rode from Boston to Lexington and Concord to warn the people against the British troops.
A typical English blend of aromatic Virginia grades, a delicate Oriental leaf, a good portion of Latakia and a pinch of Louisiana Perique. As befits for a classic Latakia Blend, slow burning and pleasantly soft thanks to the high proportion of essential oils. A spicy yet pleasantly smooth pleasure for all smokers who appreciate the tobacco real pleasure.
The Midnight Ride is a uniform light and medium brown, about 2 mm wide cut Loose Cut with dark brown shares. From the tin a smoky-sweet plum aroma rises where Latakia and Virginia unite. The Perique reveals a slightly sour undertone reminiscent of ketchup. The tobacco is rather dry, which results from the fact that the manufacturer refuses to use moisturizers. So tobacco is fresh out of the tin ready to be smoked immediately.
The Midnight Ride can be brought into the pipe by the usual method: start down loosely and gently fixed upwards. Nothing more is needed.
Two flames meet the Midnight Ride. After the extinction of the first flame, pressing the tobacco with the tamper down somewhat and giving evenly fire again. Again press it down, while puffing on the pipe and the Midnight Ride burns comfortable until the end.
The smoke of the Midnight Ride is lush and settles in the strength at the higher level. This preserves puffing too firmly on the pipe. This should be avoided as far as possible also, the tobacco tends to gargle otherwise. Smoked slowly you will find in Midnight Ride the full range of oriental tobaccos. Essential notes of Latakia are also to taste, as its spicier properties. The Orient provides grassy, resinous and sour flavors. An almost all-encompassing, definitely strong tobacco experience that will be enjoyed aware that its strength is not overwhelming and not to miss the gentle earthy and malty undertones. The remaining fine, bright ash with very few unburned crumbs and the (at attentive smoking) a few condensate not do much work in the subsequent cleaning.
The room touch of Midnight Ride is as befits a true English hardly socially acceptable and should rather be smoked alone,in the open air or under lovers of this direction.
The Midnight Ride is a true English and even under these it belongs to the rather powerful. Do the oriental tobaccos in cold smell from the tin and also in the more medium brown overall picture of Loose Cut yet behave, so they reveal themselves in the smoke their strong notes. Ethereal and spicy flavors are represented as grassy and resinous components. Carefully smoked, it is also the Virginia and Perique to taste as malty, earthy and tart. This range of impressions, can together with the not to be underestimated strength of the tobacco (that a conscious smoking requires) act overwhelming for the beginner, the experienced smokers and lovers of English tobaccos are but just these characteristics guarantee fun.
