Blue Pearl seduces with a warm, hearty aroma reminiscent of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Visually, they are reminiscent of a slice of black bread. The nutty aroma complements this, accompanied by cocoa and a light fruity note. The moisture content is adjusted to give the slices a certain elasticity. However, the flakes detach along the grain when removed. So no adhesive additives were used. Therefore, there is no need to let the Pesse Canoe Blue Pearl dry, which makes preparation easy.
Plugging:
To ensure the Pesse Canoe Blue Pearl develops properly, you shouldn't choose a pipe that's too small. The crumbly flakes can be easily ground into a Ready Rubbed of your desired fineness. If filled loosely and not packed to the brim, the Pesse Canoe Blue Pearl can expand slightly without scattering embers.
Light up:
The expanding of the Pesse Canoe Blue Pearl under the flame can be regulated with the Tamper. The second flame can then be used to create an even bed of embers.
Smoking properties:
Immediately noticeable is an intense taste of toasted bread paired with a delicate sweetness. Nuts are also present, while fruit is discernible in the background. All this harmonizes with a rich, robust, and spicy smoke. The added flavors of Pesse Canoe Blue Pearl enhance the natural nuttiness of the Burley and round out the spiciness of the oriental tobaccos. Occasionally, it may be necessary to relight, but otherwise, the burn is uncomplicated, with a long-lasting aroma. When the tobacco then goes out, only light ash flakes and a few unburned crumbs remain.
Redolency:
Although Pesse Canoe Blue Pearl contains oriental tobacco and isn't overly flavored, the aroma is perhaps precisely what keeps the tobacco from being overly harsh. Tolerant non-smokers may find this a positive feature.
Conclusion:
The lovingly packaged Pesse Canoe Blue Pearl is less reminiscent of a conventionally produced flake than of a rustic slice of black bread. Even in the aroma, and in the smoke, delicately sweet bread aromas dominate. The aroma underscores the natural nuttiness and sweetness of Virginia and Burley, while the Oriental contributes richness and spice. For those who are unfamiliar with flakes or stronger tobaccos, there are other tobaccos available. However, lovers of traditional tobacco forms and light flavors that allow sufficient space for the strength of the basic tobacco will certainly enjoy the Pesse Canoe Blue Pearl.
