From the open tin it smells sweet and pleasantly fresh-spicy. The No 9 Himalaya Blend is a blend of black and light brown tobaccos mixed with some medium brown fibers. The tobaccos are very wide and rather long cut, almost flaky and already a bit bulky between the fingers. Since the tobacco also feels a little damp, it should be at least slightly pre-dried before plugging.
Despite the somewhat bulky cut, the No 9 Himalaya Blend is quite easy to plug. You really just have to be careful to act looser at the bottom than to the finish of the filling.
Lighting the No 9 Himalaya Blend is as easy as plugging. After the first flame, it is sufficient to gently press the plugging with the tamper and give fire again to have a constant ember.
The No 9 Himalaya Blend shows, despite the recognizable in the mix high proportion of Black Cavendish, slightly smoky and quite spicy. The Virginia tastes distinct bread flavors, paired with woody-nutty notes, which combine very harmoniously with the lemony, fresh, fine fruity-sweet aroma. This aroma is always present, but not so intrusive that it drown out the basic tobaccos. Until the last third of the filling, you can follow this flavor play before the tobaccos taste gets spicy and end up with only a little light ash and virtually no condensate left behind.
The room fragrance of the No 9 Himalaya Blend is rather tobacco-strong, but slightly sweet, so that it can meet tolerance in appropriate society.
The fresh-spicy scented No 9 Himalaya Blend delivers just such aromas in the smoke. The high content of the Black Cavendish, which is already visible in the view, only manifests itself in a subtle sweetness that is reminiscent of cherries and lemon in a fruity and fresh way. But this in conjunction with the smoky-spicy Virginia creates an exciting flavor profile that is suitable for any occasion as well as for conscious enjoyment. Beginners as well as smokers who appreciate a not too heavy flavored tobacco will find a convincing tobacco in the No 9 Himalaya Blend.
