Wynne
Emanuel Wynne was not only the pirate who first used the famous flag with the skull and crossbones, he was also obsessed with tasty rum punch. In his honor, we add a Caribbean rum to this delicious mixture of various Virginia tobaccos, a hint of spicy Kentucky and a large proportion of Black Cavendish. We enrich this with vanilla and a touch of honey. To give the whole thing a fruity kick, we add a few goji berries to the punch. Enjoy this tasty treat and join in: "Fifteen men on the dead man's chest, yo-ho, yo-ho - and a bottle of rum!"
Characterisation:
In keeping with the theme, the Caribbean Blue Wynne comes in a round tin with a maritime design. Wrapped with a cover sheet and paper rosette, it is a loose cut of broad, black-brown, fine, curly and fluffy light fibers, mixed with a medium-brown ready rubbed. A warm, sweet scent rises, the berry-fruity aroma which whets the appetite. The moisture content is such that the Caribbean Blue Wynne can be given in the pipe immediately after opening.
Plugging:
As a loose cut, the Caribbean Blue Wynne is quite easy to fill into the pipe. It is best to start loosely at the bottom and finish filling with measured pressure. The ready-rubbed portions make it advisable not to choose the smallest pipe bowl.
Light up:
Caribbean Blue Wynne is also easy to handle under the flame. Smoothing the surface once with the tamper and then lighting it evenly a second time is enough for a good burn.
Smoking properties:
Although flavored, the Caribbean Blue Wynne still shows its natural tobacco aromas. As befits a solid "pirate tobacco," it is not sugary sweet. Classic toasted bread and hay notes of the Virginia can be tasted, as can the smoky spice of the Kentucky. The aroma contributes a hint of vanilla-tinged rum. Smoked cool, the light, berry-like sweetness of goji and honey can also be tasted. An impression that can also be felt when blowing through the nose. It is also noticeable that the Caribbean Blue Wynne produces a very dry smoke. This is more than unusual for a flavored tobacco, as these usually require more attention when smoking. After the aroma lasts almost to the end, before the tobacco spice intensifies, a very dry pipe remains after extinguishing. The little bit of medium-gray ash makes cleaning almost no trouble.
Redolency:
The Caribbean Blue Wynne also has a rather pleasant aroma in the room, which should not be met with extreme aversion by well-meaning, non-smoking company.
Conclusion:
The maritime-styled Caribbean Blue Wynne is uncomplicated but not boring. Like a fair-weather cruise. Preparation, smoking process and cleaning are absolutely suitable for beginners. The loose cut, composed of different fiber widths and brown tones, does not hide the basic tobacco behind its berry-sweet aroma, but rather supports the hay and roasted notes of Virginia and the smoky spice of Kentucky. If you are looking for a flavored tobacco that is suitable for every occasion, but also for deliberate leisure hours, the Caribbean Blue Wynne is the perfect choice.
