Characterisation:
The Union Square is packaged in a round tin whose ring-pull closure is covered with a plastic lid. For longer storage, the opened tobacco should still be poured into an airtight container. Under the cover sheet there are very rough pieces of Ready Rubbed wrapped in cardboard. These are marbled in medium and light brown and are streaked with darker and golden veins. The scent is an unusual pairing of sweet raisins with fresh grass. Since the moisture content is balanced, the Union Square can be given into the pipe immediately.
Plugging:
The large pieces of the Union Square can be bent and folded into the pipe like a flake, or you can grind the Ready Rubbed a little more. You should only make sure that you give the tobacco room to develop by not plugging too tightly.
Light up:
Since Union Square is not too humid, the tobacco takes the flame well. Then press lightly with the tamper and the second flame ensures an even glow.
Smoking properties:
The Union Square appears light in the smoke, but is characterized by a strong Virginia that is very aromatic. The intense natural sweetness harmonises well with unusually clear toasted bread and dried fruit aromas. Blown out through the nose, slight floral notes are also noticeable. To top this experience off, Union Square smokes remarkably inconspicuously - unlike many pure Virginia tobaccos. It also forgives heavier puffing, without having to fear a burned tongue or gargling. The need of giving fire again does not go beyond the usual level either. After such a pleasant course of smoking, the tobacco goes out, leaving only a few unburned crumbs and some medium gray ash. This also makes cleaning extremely pleasant.
Redolency:
Union Square's spatial note is natural Virginia. So you should be aware that not every non-smoker tolerates this.
Conclusion:
Union Square's medium-brown pure Virginia comes as a coarse Ready Rubbed. Not-so-unexperienced smokers can experiment with preparing. But no matter how you smoke the tobacco, it consistently delivers typical Virginia aromas that are strikingly distinct. Toasted bread, dried fruit and natural sweeteners form a reliable trio that is not disturbed by any Virginia-typical bitches. This tobacco is ideal for anyone who is looking for just that and wants to relax with a top-class natural tobacco.
