Characterisation:
The opened Pipemaster Gold should be transferred to an airtight container for longer storage. However, the pouch in which the tobacco is packaged is ideal for carrying the tobacco with you on the go. The cutting is noticeably rough. Broad, dark, short-cut fibers mix with medium and light brown flaky leaves and the tiny squares of a Cube Cut. The scent is sweet and reminiscent of wild berries. Since the residual moisture in the Pipemaster Gold is not too high, you can start filling the pipe with the tobacco immediately after opening the pouch.
Plugging:
The fluffy, rather short cut of the Pipemaster Gold tobaccos can tempt you to approach plugging carelessly because it is so easy. In order to achieve a satisfactory smoke, you should make sure to let the tobacco trickle loosely into a pipe that is not too small. At the end you only press very carefully the filling achieved in this way.
Light up:
The Pipemaster Gold may need three or four flames until the fluffy fibers have caught fire evenly. In between, you lightly smooth the surface with the tamper and brush it evenly with the flame each time. The Pipemaster Gold then rewards this care with a lasting glow.
Smoking properties:
In the pipe the Pipemaster Gold also shows the berries that have already been smelled in the cold scent. The mild smoke is gently fruity, juicy, full-bodied, but at the same time it seems absolutely natural. The Danish aroma gives the basic tobaccos plenty of room to develop. Nutty aromas are associated with Burley. An unusual note reminiscent of sourdough bread makes you want to sit back and savor an exceptional Virginia. This combination of flavors paired with the Danish style makes smoking the Pipemaster Gold exciting and varied. Although the tobacco is never demanding. A few unburned crumbs and medium gray ash also make cleaning easy.
Redolency:
The room note is rather pleasant due to the aroma used. To some non-smokers it may even seem like “typical pipe smoke”. However, consideration is never wrong.
Conclusion:
If you pack the Pipemaster Gold with you in its practical pouch, you will have a tobacco that is fully aromatic in many respects. However, the coarser, dark to light-toned cuts need to be treated with care. The Pipemaster Gold is therefore not suitable for casual smoking on the go. But that doesn't matter, as the richness of aromas invites you to devote yourself to this tobacco in peace. The delicately sweet berry-aroma is used in such a way that it is clearly noticeable, but at the same time creates a natural impression, which rounds off the nut and bread notes ideally. Lovers of Danish tobaccos don't have to miss out on a beautiful aroma or full-bodied tobacco taste with Pipemaster Gold. Something that could also convince smokers of natural blends.
