Centrogordos - Centro Gordos 100mm / 21,2mm / 4-count box
Vegueros Centrogordos
"Veguero" is the Spanish word for a tobacco farmer. Without him, there would be no tobacco for cigars. His work is often hard and arduous. Every single one of the often over one hundred thousand plants on a plantation must be checked and cared for by him more than 150 times during a growing season. The Vegueros brand is dedicated to these important workers who have been cultivating tobacco in Pinar del Rio for generations. Although the brand has been on the market since 1996, it was relaunched in a completely new form in 2014: with three new and first-time formats, in a new, slightly lighter blend, with a fresh design and in innovative packaging.
They are manufactured according to the classic method "totalmente a mano" - completely by hand - which is practiced exclusively in Cuba to this day, in the "Francisco Donatién" factory in the heart of the Cuban tobacco center of Pinar del Rio. In 2018, a fourth format followed with the Vegueros Centrofinos. Since last year, another vitola has been added to the Vegueros range: the Vegueros Centrogordos.
The production name of the newly released format is also "Centro Gordo". With a length of 100 and a large ring gauge of 54, it offers a short and aromatic "short smoke". The large ring gauge cools the smoke of the exceedingly pleasant, medium-bodied to strong blend. It offers uncomplicated cigar enjoyment for a good half hour.
This format is now available in 4-count cardboard packs in addition to the 16-count metal box.
