Manufacturer Description:
Bright Virginia, Latakia and Black Cavendish, blended and matured after a light flavour has been added. "The Kendal Mayor´s Collection"

Characterisation:
The Westmorland Mixture is a medium coarse mixture of tobaccos in varieties of different colours. The colour scale ranges from light to dark brown. The tobaccos are different cut or torn. The result is a somewhat wild mixture. The aroma of the Tonquin bean gives the mixture a nutty-sweet smell. The mixture is optimally conditioned.

Plugging:
The Westmorland Mixture could be plugged easily and loose. Due to the many different types of cuts it is advisable to turn portions of the tobacco between the fingers to loose balls which one can plug loose too into the bowl.

Light up:
The Westmorland Mixture could be light up easily with one or two flames. The tobacco tends to straighten up a little bit. After dampened down with the tamper the tobacco should glow equal and constant.

Smoking  properties:
After light up, the Westmorland Mixture can’t deny its English character. The Latakia develops its typical taste, but is pleasantly rounded by the dark sweetness of the Tonquin bean and the nutty Black Cavendish. The Mixture glows down not too slow, but it doesn’t develop excessive heat and only less condensate. The residual ash is light to medium grey.

Redolency:
The redolence of the Westmorland Mixture also reveals the Latakia. The nutty-sweet aroma of the Tonquin bean and Black Cavendish weakens the scent very pleasant, so that the tobacco should be welcome on many occasions.

Conclusion:
The Westmorland Mixture is a bit wild chopped mixture of different varieties of tobacco with a slight English character, but substantially weakened by the Black Cavendish. The aroma of the Tonquin bean lends a sweet addition to the tobaccos nutty smell. Redolence and taste are also indicative of Latakia, where the aroma of the Tonquin bean and the nutty Black Cavendish pleasantly supplements both. Handling and burning down are straightforward, so that the Westmorland Mixture could be smoked comfortably for any occasion. The tobacco is also suitable for beginners as for experienced smokers, whereby the latter would be most curios to the aroma.
