Manufacturer Description:
A ready rubbed mixture based on a heat-fermented Virginia Black Cavendish, whose appearance alone makes appetite for the impending smoking pleasure. As other mixing proportions it contains pieces of Virginia Latakia flakes and mainly because of the optics - some dots of bright Mysore Virginia. Sweet and slightly smoky at the same time - a fine, gentle spicy delicacies.
Characterisation:
The Bulldog Little Dandy is hidden in a black box with hinged lid, which is almost as high as wide. Therein lies a silver plastic bag which is not welded, but is repeatedly folded and then sealed with an adhesive seal. Very possible that the tobacco therefore seems a bit dry. So you should decant the contents of the tin in an airtight container to retain moisture. The Bulldog Little Dandy is a black-brown mixture with some brown and few but striking as square cut (5x5mm) straw yellow proportions - the aforementioned "dots" Mysore. The remaining fibers are cut long and wide, with rather few ready rubbed shares. The aroma of the freshly opened bag is striking: sweetly reminiscent of black bread and Ceylon tea - Latakia is not to sniff out.
Plugging:
The Bulldog Little Dandy can be plugged easyly. For smaller pipe bowls the pieces of flake bit can be grinded a little, then filling it relatively loose in the pipe, so that it has space to spread out.
Light up:
Paying attention to put the filling evenly on fire, then the Bulldog Little Dandy needs just a single flame. Just press carefully down the glow while gentle puffing, then it burns easily to the end.
Smoking properties:
The Bulldog Little Dandy does not have the sweetness that could be expected by the scent from the bag. However, a certain sweetness is to taste, but not overwhelming the spicier components of tobacco. It seems mild, carried by the more ethereal Latakia it gives a licorice-like spiciness that oscillates between salty, sweet and perfume-like, thus creating a very unique flavor profile. The strength is medium, rather easy for the experienced smoker; only in the end of the filling the tobacco becomes more powerful, but remains quite soon only gray ashes that makes little work in cleaning.
Redolency:
The room touch of the Bulldog Little Dandy is rather sweet. Like in the cold smell the Latakia is not to notice here, so the Bulldog Little Dandy is very suitable for tolerant society.
Conclusion:
The Bulldog Little Dandy is a lavish, but unfortunately not useful packaged ready-rubbed-mixture dominated by dark brown shades. You should repack it airtight, but otherwise it does in preparation and smoking behavior as little problems that it can be recommended to beginners absolutely. Who wants to dare a tobacco containing Latakia, but recoils for classic English mixtures, however, finds the Bulldog Little Dandy the suitable candidate. Neither its strength nor its content of Latakia is likely to deter the novice. Experienced smokers will equally like to smoke it by the way, as they will appreciate its unusual aromas. And the pleasant redolency will even come to the house blessing benefit.
