An absolute rarity: Brown Dark Fired tobaccos were spun into a strand by hand and matured for 4 weeks in presses. Strong in flavor.
The Brown No. 4 Fines Kendal Twist almost reminds of a cigar as it is a nearly inch-thick role in the tin, dark brown in the cut with a few bright inclusions and the aromas coming up out of the box with its notes of leather and grass like a good cuban. Due to the compact processing, the humidity is optimal and the twist can withstand quite a long time to be in the open tin.
The Brown No. 4 Fines Kendal Twist appears difficult to plug at first, but after a few tries, you know how much you have to cut from twist in to obtain a good filling. A sharp knife is recommended, so you can cut approximately 1-2 mm slices, which are then cut in half or can be crumbled a little. Theoretically, the slices can be piled into the pipe, but then the air supply suffers mostly, and hence this method is recommended for more advanced lovers of curlies. The Brown No. 4 Fines Kendal Twist Actually not just tolerates, it prefers to be stuffed a little tighter, because then it burns better. As so often tobacco crumbs facilitate the kindling of this rather sturdy tobacco.
The Brown No. 4 Fines Kendal Twist should be lit evenly and carefully. Let go once, smoothing and resubmiting fire is much more comfotable as relighting continuously during the smoke. If the entire surfaceb burns, so the embers moves uniformly down during smoking.
The Brown No. 4 Fines Kendal Twist is strong and produces a powerful smoke, but it is amazingly gentle on the tongue and also tends not to gargle. Its nothing for sweet tooth but friends of naturally pure tobaccos it will know how to please, because it reveals what already promised its scent: tart, absolutely natural tobacco flavor, full bodied, peaty, like a whiskey from the Scottish isles. From time to time you should use the tamper gently but firmly to bring the embers to the tobacco, then the twist burns without problems until the end. All that remains medium gray ash and just a few unburned tobacco crumbs.
The room note of the Brown No. 4 Fines Kendal Twist is strong, tart and therefore hardly suitable for non-smoking societies.
The Brown No. 4 Fines Kendal Twist is a specialty for smokers who are looking for something special and not be afraid if the preparations require some attention. Who is handy enough to cut down their own curlies off the dark brown cigar-like twist, expects a naturally pure, powerful, yet gentle smoking experience that is reminiscent of the bitter, spicy tobacco in “the good old times”. No tobacco for beginners, but an exciting experience for adventurous and curious.
