Manufacturer Description:
Virginia and Burley from the US, Mexico and Malawi in a mixture with a gentle Black Cavendish. Refined with aromas of wild berries, vanilla and caramel. A fruity smoking pleasure with a light sweetness and a subtle redolence.

Characterisation:
The Burgundy is firmly pressed into the pouch. If you loosen up the Mixture a bit, you can see that the tobacco fibers are predominantly narrow and medium to light brown, the dark brown parts are medium and short cut. Some coarser pieces disturb the picture. The scent is sweet and reminiscent of red fruits, but less, on wild berries, but rather on cherries. The moisture of the tobacco seems to be just right, in order to be able to stuff it immediately, but when lit, it shows a certain residual moisture, so you should allow the Burgundy to pre-dry before stuffing.

Plugging:
If in plugging the Burgundy it is taken into account either rubbing or sorting out the coarser pieces that are partly contained, then you can plug the tobacco like any loose Mixture. If you start loosely down and become firmer upwards, you will achieve a steady burning.

Light up:
Lighting the Burgundy requires some attention, too. Since the different tobacco cuts are rising under the flame, it is necessary to try several times the tamper to create a flat surface. After two or three flames, however, the tobacco burns all the more reliably.

Smoking  properties:
The Burgundy looks very mild and creamy soft in the first puffs. As it progresses, it becomes softer, more vigorous, and more spicy tobacco notes emerge, as seen in smoky Virginia, rounded off by the nutty Burley. The aromatization is not very intrusive and manifests itself above all as a slightly fruity, but also flowery sweetness, which harmoniously combines the natural flavors of the tobaccos with each other and gives the whole a frame. The burn is very calm and leaves dark ash and little condensate, so that the cleaning is easy.

Redolency:
The redolence of the Burgundy is quite pleasant due to the aromatisation, so that it will not be noticed in tolerant society.

Conclusion:
The Burgundy is a slightly inhomogeneous Mixture in lighter shades of brown, which requires some attention in preparation. With a little practice, however, beginners can get along with the Burgundy, especially since it then can be easily smoked and is also in the strength not overwhelming. This makes the tobacco suitable for every occasion. Experienced smokers will especially like the fact that the used flavor, which gives sweetness to the tobacco, does not cover up the smoky-spicy and nutty basic tobaccos.
