Adjustable Digital Hygrometer Thermometer Instructionws for Use

Our Digital Hygrometer will accurately report humidty to +/- 2% at 70% RH and temperature to 1 degree F/C. To activate this unit, simply remove from the packaging and pull down on the clear vinyl tape located on the bottom edge of the unit. The LCD screen should turn on and show you humidty and temperature readings.

If the screen does not turn on, remove the battery by opening the cover located on the back of the unit. Under the battery locate a silver metal contact. Genly bend the contact upwards. Replace the battery and battery cover. Your unit should function normally.

This unit can be calibrated using the salt test method. To calibrate, fill a plastic soda cap with plain table salt. Add just enough water to make the salt wet, but not so much that water stands on top of the salt. Place a zip lock bag flat on flat surface. Place the salt filled cap inside the bag along with the Adjustable Digital. Seal the bag closed and wait 4 hours. After 4 hours have passed, push and hold the left bottom until the Adjustable Digital resets itself to 75. Once it has reset, remove from the zip lock bag. It is now perfectly calibrated.

This unit can be recalibrated using the salt test method as often as you like. However, before each calibration, it will be neccesary to remove the battery which allows the unit to reset itself to factory specifications. Once the battery has been removed, simply replace it back into the battery well and close the cover.

This unit will read humidity in the range 30% to 99%. Should the relative humidity be outside this range, the unit will show dashes (--). This simply means the humidity is outside the readable range. The unit is functioning normally.
