The Blender's Pride Green Gold is in its finer components, light to golden brown and cut narrow and short, the more compact Flake bits are slightly darker. Overall, the tobacco is very harmonious. The fragrance that flows out of the tin, after the opening of the plastic and the press cover, is floral, sweetish and reminding of red fruits. Even if the tobacco is not pappy or too moist, you should let it dry before smoking.
As usual with Ready Rubbed tobaccos, the Blender's Pride Green Gold should not be filled too tight or too high into the pipe. Although it does not tend to rise under the flame, one should give the pressed tobacco fibers a little space.
The Blender's Pride Green Gold can be easily ignited. After the flame, the embers are gently pressed - perhaps a second flame is needed, but then the tobacco no longer requires attention.
The Blender's Pride Green Gold provides a lush, very natural smoke. One tastes especially the tobacco with its own spice. As expected from a Virginia, roasted aromas and a taste of rye bread are served. Only in the background plays a nuance which reveals that the The Blender's Pride Green Gold is a flavored tobacco. Fine-tart and airy, not to call really lemony, and yet reminding for that, the bergamot used is accompanied by the natural Virginia aromas. You should not taste for the aroma too greedy, because the Blender's Pride Green Gold, like many pure Virginias it punishes impatience with gargling. Tongue-burn, however, is not to be feared. After an otherwise uncomplicated burn with a long lasting aroma, medium gray ash, some unburnt crumbs and some condensate remain, which are easy to clean.
The room score of The Blender's Pride Green Gold is due to the rather subtle aromatization for pure tobacco and is only slightly sweetish, so the society wants to be chosen accordingly, one does not want to enjoy the tobacco alone or in the fresh air.
The Blender's Pride Green Gold is a Broken Flake in beautiful light brown and golden tones. The well-rubbed Flake does not cause any problems in the pipe and offers an interesting overall flavor picture, in which the flavor used, as promised by the manufacturer, is rather in the background of the typical Virginia aromas of roasted bread and tobacco-spice. Contrary to many Earl Gray-teas, the bergamot used is very discreet and in its herb-fruity lightness is never obtrusive. Just like the tobacco itself, which one can smoke well at any time. If you are looking for a slightly flavored tobacco blend with flavor and tobacco-spice, the Blender's Pride Green Gold will not disappoint.
