Hersteller Beschreibung:
Die Marke stammt aus dem Jahr 1935 und erhielt ihren Namen wahrscheinlich nach dem berühmten Roman "Der Graf von Montecristo" von Alexandre Dumas. Nachdem der Vorleser der Tabakfabrik den Torcedores den Roman vorgelesen hatte, war die Begeisterung für dieses Werk so groß, dass man entschied, diese neue Zigarre nach dessen Held zu benennen.
