This pipe tobacco has a very pleasant scent due to the clear vanilla aroma. Aromatic Burley, golden Virginia and Black Cavendish tobaccos give this mixture its special flavor. BROOKFIELD No. 2 - a pleasure for all senses.
While the larger tin is well suited to longer store the No. 2, so the variant in the pouch is ideal to take with you uncomplicated. The No. 2 consists mainly of middle brown tobaccos, with a smaller proportion of dark brown tobacco. The cut is strikingly long and the fibers are curled into each other. The scent is reminiscent of the aroma of vanilla and still carries a pervasive almost alcoholic-sweet component. Although the No. 2 does not look too damp at first, it should be allowed to pre-dry to improve the burning behaviour quiet before it is in the pipe.
The No. 2 shows by its long cut somewhat unruly when plugging. If you usually bring a Loose Cut down loosely and a bit more firmly into the pipe at the top, then with the No. 2 you should take care to leave enough room for the tobacco and not to over-tighten.
Due to the crinkled cut, the tobacco straightens under the heat of the flame. So the repeated use of the tamper is necessary to smooth the surface very gently and to achieve a constant glow after several flames.
Striking in the smoke of No. 2 is its mildness. Soft it lays on the tongue and unlike many aromatic mixtures here no tingling on the tongue has to be feared, even if you puff too greedy on the pipe. If you have done everything right at the beginning, then you do not have to re-ignite, but even if, the tobacco is not tasting sharp. The fine-spicy hay and toasted notes are accompanied by an unobtrusive vanilla note, which contributes a delicate sweetness and thus contributes to the overall mild smoke. Only shortly before in goes out, the tobacco appears more clearly, but still mild, in appearance, leaving only a little middle gray ash and hardly any condensate.
The redolence of No. 2 is characterized by the sweetish aroma, so that it should not attract attention in tolerant society.
Since the No. 2 because of its long-fibred cut needs more attention when plugging and igniting, it is not suitable for absolute beginners, despite its mild aroma. Anyone who is willing to deal with the tobacco but soon gets the hang of it and is rewarded with a very mild tobacco smoke. Without the vanilla flavoring "whitewashing" everything, the No. 2 gives unusually mild hay and roasted notes, which are associated with a delicate sweetness, so that a completely unburdening smoking pleasure results, which should not disturb the non-smokers in the area, too.
