W.Ø. Larsen Limited Edition 2025
The WOL 2025 is a cube-cut blend of air-cured, roasted Burley tobaccos and aged Virginia tobacco, pressed into cakes for 36 hours and then cut into small cubes ("cubes") to facilitate packing the pipe and ensure a slow burn. It offers a natural and mild tobacco taste with notes of honey and maple syrup, full-bodied, and with a very pleasant room note.

At the end of each year, W. Ø. Larsen offers a special edition in an exclusive tin, specially designed for pipe tobacco connoisseurs. These blends, made from the finest tobaccos in the world, promise pipe lovers the ultimate enjoyment. Each year, a specially designed tin is produced in a limited number to complement these premium blends. These limited-edition tins are unique and available for only a short time.

W.Ø. Larsen
In 1864, Wilhelm Øckenholt Larsen opened a first-class tobacco shop in the heart of the Danish capital, just 300 meters from the royal palace. The shop quickly gained a good reputation among the elite, particularly with the nobility who spent their winters in Copenhagen’s exclusive hotels or in their villas. As the business grew, it expanded to include a tobacco museum, a pipe tobacco blending facility, and a pipe workshop. The family continued to offer a wide range of high-quality tobaccos, and the shop remained a supplier for the wealthy and the aristocracy. Today, the brand is known for its Danish heritage, its rich history, and its premium pipe tobaccos. The WØL 2025 edition celebrates the 161st anniversary of the brand and highlights its long history worldwide.

This year, we celebrate the Viking heritage.
It is often said that the Danish royal lineage begins with Gorm the Old (in Danish, Gorm den Gamle). He ruled from the late 9th to the early 10th century and is considered the founder of the unified Kingdom of Denmark. Before him, Denmark was under the rule of local tribal chieftains. He dedicated his life to expanding his lands and embarking on various expeditions. With his highly regarded military skills, he succeeded in conquering more and more territories. Gorm is buried in a famous burial mound in Jelling, Denmark. His gravestone commemorates him as the "Pride of Denmark." A remarkable figure whose legacy is still remembered today, given the traces he left in a country still ruled by his descendants.

A legacy of traditional craftsmanship and skill
The Vikings were skilled craftsmen who created art and tools. They lived in harmony with nature and used high-quality, natural ingredients. They brewed their own beer and mead, which was often considered a royal drink, likely reserved for special occasions. Mead is one of the oldest alcoholic beverages in the world, a fermented mixture of water and honey. Its name directly traces back to the Vikings. It originally comes from the Danish word "Mjød," was adopted into Old English as "medu," and later evolved into "Mead" in modern English.

A life in harmony with nature
The Vikings' way of life, shaped by the seasons and in harmony with nature, deeply influenced their belief system. Based on the seasonal conditions of their environment, they developed effective methods for preserving food. One such method was the use of honey, which is still employed today for preserving tobacco. In their art, they depicted their beliefs and mythology, which was transferred into their craftsmanship, including textiles and woodwork. Everything they created held cultural significance.
