This apealing Mixture includes Virginia tobaccos, Burleys, Original Cavendish, Dark Fired Kentucky, Oriental tobacco and, of course, the superb Acadian Perique. Pure tobacco taste without any additional aromas characterize this blend. The tobacco unfolds a wide range of flavor nuances, making it a special smoking pleasure, without burning on the tongue.
The HH Arcadian Perique surprised when opening the tin with a look unusual for the manufacturer appearance. The tobaccos of the HH-line are advertised with a certain vintage aspect, and accordingly rustic comes the HH Arcadian Perique. Already the cover sheet shows brown spots and points to the vigorously sauced Perique, which exudes a sweet and sour aroma reminiscent of multivitamin juice. The cut of the broad, medium-, dark- and gray-brown tobacco fibers is rather coarse and interspersed with pieces of the tobacco-leaves. Before the plugging you should give the HH Arcadian Perique because of the high residual moisture content quite some time for pre-drying.
Despite the rough cut, the HH Arcadian Perique, if well pre-dried, is relatively easy to plug. It is best to proceed as usual for loose Mixtures by starting loosely at the bottom and softly tighter towards the top.
The lighting is also quite simple with sufficient pre-drying. If you use the tamper after the first flame to straighten the surface, then usually the second flame produces an uniform glow, which the Arcadian Perique HH maintains until the end of the filling.
In a tobacco clearly advertising with the seasoning tobacco Perique, such as the HH Arcadian Perique one may expect an intense experience and you get that too. The tobacco is smoky, with intense notes of pepper, hints of leather and is characterized by tart seasoning. Those who are not deterred by this and keep the tobacco cool and smoking deliberately, which is recommended due to the strength too, will also have a delicate sweetness, as taste of black bread, which holds in the background, but is clearly present. The HH Arcadian Perique glows quietly and leaves fine light ash and almost no condensate, so that also makes the cleaning uncomplicated.
The redolence of the HH Arcadian Perique is clearly marked by smoky tobacco and is hardly suitable for non-smoking society.
Well dried, the HH Arcadian Perique is relatively easy to handle despite its rustic cut. Apart from the name, the sweet-sour scent reveals the high percentage of strong Perique, too. Therefore, the tobacco is also aimed primarily at lovers of this particular tobacco, who can imagine what to expect. The HH Arcadian Perique is a tart spicy tobacco, whose natural aromas are reminiscent of pepper and leather, but also - smoked cool - reveals a fine black bread sweetness that connoisseurs will appreciate. The HH Arcadian Perique is certainly no tobacco that you just have in the pipe by the way, but that's what it obviously does not want to be!
