Capitol A hell of a smoke! Rafael Nodal had put on one of his beloved jazz records last summer — the unmistakable sound of Duke Ellington was already making his legs move, the Golden Twenties felt almost within reach when he suddenly stopped in amazement. In that instant, it became clear to him that he would dedicate the latest premium creation from Tabacalera de Garcia to this fabulous decade. And thus, the »Capitol« was born. Rafael’s exceptional connections helped him bring in none other than Nestor Plasencia for the »Capitol« — one of the greatest cigar producers in the world, known for creating legendary cigars. The »Capitol« confidently evokes the spirit of the 1920s — the cigar band and the boxes feature an Art Deco building where ladies in golden dresses and a lively Charleston would fit right in. It begins softly and creamy with slightly earthy notes, accented by a hint of sweetness. In the second third, Plasencia’s signature becomes even more apparent. It turns spicier, earthier, and wonderful aromas of cedar join in. The final third seduces with intense tobacco flavors, still accompanied by that gently creamy sweetness.
