The name Mehari’s originates in Africa, from a specific type of camel — a white racing dromedary. This symbolizes Mehari’s roots in Cameroon, where races with these racing dromedaries are held. At the beginning, Mehari’s featured a Cameroon wrapper. This was later changed to a Java wrapper to further enhance the flavor that Mehari’s smokers appreciate so much. Along with this change, the name Mehari’s Originals was changed to Mehari’s Java. Shortly afterward, Mehari’s Brasil was introduced.
