News from the House of Ashton
The successful collaboration between the Levin family, owners of Ashton Cigars, and Don Pepin Garcia along with his team has been going on for almost two decades now. With Paradiso and La Aroma Del Caribe, this collaboration between cigar giants has produced two absolute classics.
In 2011, Paradiso Elegancia conquered the humidors of the USA. With its familiar tropical design and its flawless Connecticut wrapper from Ecuador, it immediately became the talk of the town. Thirteen years later, the time has finally come. A ship docks in the port of Hamburg, carrying a container from Nicaragua. And yes, it contains a shipment of one of the best Connecticut cigars we have ever had the pleasure of trying – the Paradiso Elegancia.
While cigars bearing the name Paradiso have been known for their strength, the Elegancia presents itself more on the gentle side. Packed with Nicaraguan long-filler tobaccos held together by a binder from Nicaragua, the Elegancia reaches us. Of course, all these tobaccos come from the Garcia family's own plantations. This phenomenally exciting cigar is crowned by a golden-brown shimmering wrapper from Ecuador.
Even though the Elegancia caters to quieter, smoother flavors, we don't have to miss out on the spicy notes typical of My Father. White pepper meets creamy notes of oak, earth, and coffee. Honey and cocoa wonderfully round off the complex flavor profile.
