Das schweizerisch-deutsche Tabakunternehmen von Heinrich Villiger feierte im September 2008 in der Schweiz ein großes Fest, das 120jährige Jubiläum des im Jahre 1888 von seiner Großmutter gegründeten Unternehmens. Zu diesem besonderen Anlass wurde die erste eigene Premium-Cigarre des Traditionshauses unter dem Namen VILLIGER 1888 lanciert. Diese wurde in der Dominikanischen Republik produziert aus absolut perfekt gereiften Tabaken unter tatkräftiger Mitarbeit des Patrons Heinrich Villiger, der für die Komposition der Mischung verantwortlich zeichnete. Das Ergebnis: mittelkräftige Cigarren, die durch ihr reiches Bouquet überzeugen.

Vierzehn Jahre später – wir schreiben das Jahr 2022 und die VILLIGER 1888 Dom. Rep. hat sich längst in Deutschland, aber auch international als qualitativ hochwertige Cigarrenmarke durchgesetzt, wird eine neue VILLIGER 1888 Linie auf den Markt gebracht: die VILLIGER 1888 Nicaragua.

Dazu sollte man wissen, dass VILLIGER seit Oktober 2021 in Estelí, dem Mekka der Cigarrenindustrie Nicaraguas, seine eigene hochmoderne Handmade-Cigarren-Manufaktur betreibt.

After blending various tobaccos and conducting extensive smoker panels in Germany—gathering up to 70 individual test results—the final outcome was an exceptionally intriguing tobacco composition.
