Tatuaje L'Atelier-Surrogates Bone Crusher
As one of six cigars in the exclusive L’Atelier Surrogates line, the Bone Crusher presents itself with a no-frills, rock ’n’ roll look that lives up to its menacing name. L’Atelier, meaning “the workshop,” was founded in 2012 by Pete Johnson along with industry friends Dan Welsh, K.C. Johnson, and Sean “Casper” Johnson. The brand is dedicated to creating premium cigars that offer both high quality and great value.
A hard-hitting rock ’n’ roll cigar
Dressed in a sinister, dark, and oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, the Bone Crusher is blended with rich Nicaraguan filler tobaccos selected by Pete Johnson, founder of the Tatuaje brand. Two black bands with italic lettering and a cartoon-style bone accentuate the cigar’s bold character.
Each vitola in the Surrogates line features a unique blend of aged long-filler tobaccos and an individual flavor profile, all with the aim of delivering quality at an affordable price. Like all L’Atelier cigars, the Bone Crusher is handcrafted at the renowned My Father Cigars factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, under the direction of José “Pepin” Garcia. Taste: The smoking experience begins with an explosion of flavor. The first draws deliver cool, rich, and creamy smoke that envelops the palate with full-bodied intensity. A smooth draw reveals a complex blend of pepper, spices, coffee, and earth. As the smoke progresses, a bold chocolate note takes center stage, accompanied by undertones of wood and leather.
