My Father Blue A New Chapter With the “My Father Blue,” not just another outstanding cigar steps into the spotlight. No, the Blue opens a new chapter for one of the greatest cigar dynasties of our time. For in order to create this fantastic cigar, the Garcia family turned to Honduras. About three years ago, they decided to expand and built a factory in El Paraiso, Honduras’s cigar capital. To ensure that they could also cultivate their own tobacco in Honduras, they purchased farmland in Talanga, one of the country’s most renowned growing regions. Previously unused for tobacco, the land offers three different soil types, allowing Don and his son Jaime to grow both lighter and stronger tobaccos. For the first time, tobaccos from the “Finca La Opulencia” are being used for the binder and filler. Crowned with a wonderfully oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, the My Father Blue is without doubt the most eagerly anticipated cigar release of the year. That is why we are delighted to present this new creation as part of the New Icons. Packaged in striking blue boxes – a tribute to the Honduran flag – the cigar comes adorned with a secondary band displaying the release year MMXXV (2025), giving the Blue an elegant finish alongside the classic My Father logo on the primary band.
The Blue is a medium- to full-bodied cigar, offering a wide variety of flavors. Smokers can expect fresh cedar, cocoa, leather, and a touch of fruitiness, to name just a few. What stands out immediately is the absence of the distinct “Pepin spice” – that unmistakable pepperiness Don Pepin Garcia is known for and loves. As such, the Blue is not a classic My Father, but it provides a highly welcome expansion of the brand’s portfolio, sure to put a smile on the face of aficionados who prefer a more nuanced and elegant smoking experience.
