Perdomo Bourbon Barrel-Aged – Structured Maturation of Nicaraguan Tobaccos The Bourbon Barrel-Aged series from Perdomo Nicaragua is based on tobaccos that undergo a minimum six-year aging process. A key feature of this line is the specialized finishing process, where the tobaccos are aged in charred American white oak bourbon barrels to develop a defined flavor structure. The Perdomo Nicaragua Bourbon Barrel-Aged Maduro Gordo utilizes a Nicaraguan Maduro wrapper that receives an additional 14-month aging period in bourbon barrels. This wrapper is combined with Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos that have also been aged for six years. In the large-volume Gordo format, this long-filler offers a present tobacco character with pronounced roasted notes. A masterfully structured product from Nicaragua for connoisseurs of matured tobacco compositions.
