Perdomo Legacy Nicaraguan Shade Grown Epicure – Character and Complexity from Nicaragua The Perdomo Legacy Nicaraguan Shade Grown is a distinctive Nicaraguan puro and represents a unique variation within the Legacy series. At its heart is a special Nicaraguan Shade-Grown wrapper, developed from a hybrid of Cuban-Seed and Cameroon tobacco and cultivated on the Perdomo family’s Finca Natalie in Estelí. The wrapper is aged for ten years and subsequently finished for at least ten months in Bourbon barrels. This process creates a distinctive combination of mature tobacco flavors, refined spice and balanced sweetness. High-quality Nicaraguan tobaccos are used for the binder and filler. The tobaccos come from the renowned growing regions of Estelí, Condega and the Jalapa Valley, complementing the distinctive Shade-Grown wrapper to create a harmonious overall blend. The blend develops a rich and complex flavor profile with notes of roasted oak, subtle spice and natural sweetness. The long finish is accompanied by pleasant woody notes and a delicate sweetness. The Epicure format (Toro) offers a balanced smoking volume with a length of 152 mm and a diameter of 21.4 mm. With a ring gauge of 54, this format is particularly well suited to aficionados who appreciate an extended and complex smoking experience.
