The Shade-Grown wrapper is aged for ten years in bales and subsequently finished for at least ten months in American white oak Bourbon barrels. This elaborate aging process gives the tobacco additional depth, complexity and distinctive character.

For the binder and filler, Perdomo uses high-quality Cuban-Seed Nicaraguan tobaccos from the renowned growing regions of Estelí, Condega and the Jalapa Valley. Together with the Shade-Grown wrapper, these tobaccos create a harmonious Nicaraguan puro with a balanced and complex character.
