Perdomo Legacy Nicaraguan Shade Grown Gordo – Character and Complexity from Nicaragua The Perdomo Legacy Nicaraguan Shade Grown is distinguished by its unique Nicaraguan Shade-Grown wrapper. This special tobacco was developed from a hybrid of Cuban-Seed and Cameroon tobacco and cultivated on the Perdomo family’s Finca Natalie in Estelí, Nicaragua, under controlled shade conditions. The Shade-Grown wrapper is aged for ten years in bales and subsequently finished for at least ten months in American white oak Bourbon barrels. This elaborate aging process gives the tobacco additional depth, complexity and distinctive character. For the binder and filler, Perdomo uses high-quality Cuban-Seed Nicaraguan tobaccos from the renowned growing regions of Estelí, Condega and the Jalapa Valley. Together with the Shade-Grown wrapper, these tobaccos create a harmonious Nicaraguan puro with a balanced and complex character. The cigar develops a rich and robust flavor profile with balanced spice and subtle hints of oak and sweetness. Its generous format provides an intense and long-lasting smoking experience. The Gordo format offers a substantial smoking volume with a length of 152 mm and a diameter of 23.8 mm. With a ring gauge of 60, this format is ideal for aficionados who appreciate a large-format cigar with a complex character.
