Manufacturer Description:
It all starts with the carefully selected raw tobaccos which Henrik Halberg, owner and Master Blender, personally has selected in various parts of the world.
These tobaccos combined with the skilled craftsmanship at Mac Baren makes this blend not only special – it makes it unique. The loose cut Virginias and the modern Cavendish gives the blend a soft and mellow taste.
The Virginias are a broader cut than normal, which together with the ready rubbed Burley tobaccos guarantees you a slow and pleasant smoke.
When enjoying the Cube Silver you will experience the creamy sweetness in combination with a natural tobacco taste.
It is a unique smoke with fulfilling pleasure from the start to the end.
The Cube box is divided into 3 parts, each part showing the 3 unique elements: tobacco – craftsmanship - taste. It’s in the box.
Characterisation:
While packaged in a pouch, the Cube - Silver can take along well. For longer storage, however, it is better to transfer the opened tobacco into a tight-fitting container. The pouch is corresponding to the name silver cardboard with a gold-colored inner bag in which the tobacco is located. The cross-section is composed of partly very long, light and medium brown fibers, dark brown Ready Rubbed pieces and crimped black-brown fibers. The sweet scent evokes associations with red fruits, such as cherries and currants, but also red apples. Pressed firmly into the pouch, the tobacco looks a bit damp, so it should be left to dry before smoking.
Plugging:
The different components of the Cube - Silver can make stuffing difficult. Above all, the almost ten centimeters long frizzy fibers of Virginia require patience and experience, if you do not want to stuff the tobacco too tight. And this is urgently needed as otherwise the Cube - Silver can go out while smoking.
Light up:
Even when lighting up you should not use too much force - if you want to press the Cube - Silver with the tamper it can happen that the embers just dissolve. With this tobacco, some practice is required until it reaches a uniform burn, but then it does not cause any problems.
Smoking properties:
The smoke of the Cube - Silver flatters immediately with a lush creaminess. This impression of softness is further supported by the clear coolness and mildness of the tobacco. The strength is given as medium, but tends to be on the lighter side. The aromas are unobtrusive and you do not immediately have the impression of smoking a flavored tobacco. Mild toasted notes are present as well as nutty hints, always accompanied by a gentle sweetness, which seems surprisingly natural. This aroma remains in effect until the end of the filling, leaving behind some dark gray ash and very little condensate, so that the cleaning effort is limited.
Redolency:
The redolence of the Cube - Silver is mild and clearly marked by the sweetness of the aroma, making the tobacco suitable for tolerant societies.
Conclusion:
Due to the very different cutted and sized components of the Cube - Silver it requires a lot of attention until it is managed to smoke it. Then, however, the brown-tinged Mixture surprises with a very mild smoke, whose creaminess harmonises wonderfully with the gentle toasted notes of the Virginia, the nuttiness of the Burley and above all the natural-looking sweetness. Once you have mastered the preparation through experience and practice, the Cube - Silver is a tobacco not too flavored, which you can smoke along the way and at any time of the day.
