Foundation Olmec Maduro Grande – Dark intensity and historical heritage The Olmec Maduro Grande by Foundation Cigars is a profound tribute to the Olmecs, one of the oldest civilizations in the Americas, based in Mexico's San Andrés Valley. This region is world-renowned today for growing premium wrapper leaves. Founder Nick Melillo has created a series that perfectly celebrates the connection between Mexican heritage and Nicaraguan craftsmanship. The centerpiece of this Grande in the massive Gordo format (152.0 mm x 23.8 mm) is the dark, oily Mexico San Andrés Maduro wrapper. After harvest, it undergoes an especially slow fermentation process to develop a deep color and rich aroma. Inside, a blend of premium Nicaraguan tobaccos from Estelí and Jalapa, aged for three years, provides a medium-to-full-bodied profile. Aficionados can enjoy a complex mix of dark chocolate, espresso, and earthy spice, all remaining exceptionally cool due to the 60 ring gauge.
