Manufacturer Description:
A traditional Mixture compromising the finest Virginia tobaccos plus a hint of Louisiana Perique and a generous portion of Cyprus Latakia. A delight for the seasoned pipe smoker.
Characterisation:
The Balkan Delight is a mixture of medium to dark brown tobaccos. When you open the tin immediately spreads the strong smell of Latakia. Virginia and Perique are imperceptible. The Mixture is medium fine cut and feels something wet.
Plugging:
The Balkan Delight could be stuffed easy. You can let him loose trickle into the bowl, flatten and press down the layers slightly or you can turn the tobacco portions to loose balls and stuff each of them individually and press down gently.
Light up:
Lighting up of the Balkan Delight is easy. 1 to 2 flames bring the tobacco evenly to glow. Sometimes it tends to straighten something, but with the tamper that’s easy to regulate.
Smoking properties:
After lighting up the Balkan Delight shows its English character: A strong, spicy taste of Latakia with a zesty touch of Virginia, and after a few draws, one can also taste an earthy-sweet touch of Perique. The Balkan Delight glows very good-natured, but should not be smoked too hot. The Balkan Delight is medium to strong. This tobacco is not suitable for any time of the day, but rather for cozy hours when it can be enjoyed aware. The burn is even where some condensate is build. The remaining ash is medium gray with a few black speckles.
Redolency:
The really generous share of Latakia dominates the room note. Virginia and Perique are largely obsolete and the Balkan Delight is therefore a tobacco for cozy hours with like-minded in the smoking room ...
Conclusion:
The Balkan Delight is a medium-fine blend of different medium to dark brown tobaccos, which is clearly dominated by Latakia. In the taste nuances of Virginia and Perique could be noticed if the tobacco is smoked with a little attention in relation to the temperature. Glowing down is good-natured, with forming some condensate. The redolence is dominated by the big portion of Latakia, which the Balkan Delight is not suitable for any society. The tobacco is medium to strong and should be enjoyed aware and comfortable. The Balkan Delight is more suited to experienced smokers who like a good amount of Latakia.
