Christmas Pipe
2009
The 2009 Christmas pipe continues the 5-year theme
based on the main characters of the famous book ‘A Christmas Carol’ by Charles
Dickens, which we initiated in 2006.
This being the 4th pipe in the series, it depicts one
of the main characters of the story, THE GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PRESENT.
The main character for the coming year will be the
Ghost of Christmas Future.
This year’s pipe is an elegant group 3 Billiard in
Shell Briar finish. It features an elongated Sterling Silver army (military)
mount inscribed “The Ghost of Christmas Present” giving the pipe an exceedingly
elegant appearance. The solid Ghost of Christmas Present Pipe tamper is
handcrafted from approximately 42 grams of finest English Sterling Silver.
The highly collectable Dunhill Christmas pipes and
tampers are presented in a leather-bound book held in typical red & green
Christmas colours with golden embossing in co-ordination with the previous books
of this series and each set is accompanied by its numbered limited edition
certificate.
This edition series is strictly limited to annually
only 300 pipes worldwide. Markets will be allocated the same quantities and
edition numbers as put down last year to facilitate collection of sets.
World-wide launch September 2009
