Manufacturer Description:
Classic English blend, rich in Syrian Latakia, paired with a pinch of Perique. This creates the typical fine taste of smoke. Aromatic, wonderful fragrance and rich in spicy aroma. Cross-Cut.
Characterisation:
Since the Wellauer's English Blend is packaged in a pouch, it is well suited to take on the way. For storing but you should choose the larger versions in the tin. The tobaccos are uniformly mixed light, medium and dark brown and show an unusual cross-section of larger, almost square leaf flakes. The scent is sweetish and finely smoky, revealing the contained Latakia. Since the tobacco has a balanced moisture content, it can be plugged immediately without further preparation.
Plugging:
Due to the special cut, the Wellauer's English Blend can be easily plugged by trickling the tobacco flakes into the pipe. In between, you should press the filling something and end up with a little more pressure.
Light up:
Two flames should be enough to ignite the Wellauer's English Blend, if you after the first flame gently use the tamper to smooth the surface. The second flame then produces an uniform glow.
Smoking properties:
The Wellauer's English Blend is an English mixture of rather spicy character. The Latakia shows only a very gentle ethereal incense note, which is indeed noticeable, but always remains in the background. To taste much clearer is a tart, slightly resinous spice, which can sometimes get peppery and is probably influenced by the Perique. Outstanding but make the Wellauer's English Blend flavors that remind of roasted, caramelized black bread and tenderly salty smoked ham, which makes the smoking very interesting. If you occasionally press the embers with the tamper on the flaky tobacco, Wellauer's English Blend burns well and leaves only medium gray ash and little condensate in the pipe.
Redolency:
In the room Wellauer's English Blend smells for tobacco and due to the Latakia it is not suitable for societies in which this is not welcomed
Conclusion:
The leaf flakes of Wellauer's English Blend show up in all shades of brown and reveal the contained Latakia with their sweetish, smoky fragrance. Despite the unusual Cross Cut, the tobacco is relatively easy to prepare. The lusciously contained Latakia trumps with tart-resinous spiciness and brings only a slight ethereal freshness. Interesting is the Wellauer's English Blend with aromas of roasted sweet brown bread and smoked ham, as they are only occasionally found in selected Latakias. The Wellauer's English Blend delivers everything you could want from a quality English tobacco.
