For the die-hard lover of the classic Latakia flavor, the strongest blend, Latakia Flake 40, will most likely be the preferred choice. But the other two variants in this series also promise exceptional enjoyment with their subtle, smoky note.

Latakia Flake - 40

The Latakia Flake No. 40 is distinguished by its main component, the smoky Latakia, which is however permeated by a distinctive fruity aroma reminiscent of plums. This line stands out with an increased tobacco density of 40 percent Latakia. Upon lighting, the smoky character initially dominates, while in the background, the natural sweetness of Virginia becomes noticeable, followed by woody nuances. The taste of the Virginias is prominent, but the smoky and woody Latakia takes center stage. The Turkish Latakia is distinctly different from Cypriot or Syrian Latakia. This blend presents itself with medium strength and impressive density.

Characterisation:
The Latakia Flake - 40 Turkish Oriental is packaged in a small, black tin box with a hinged lid. Since this is sealed with a plastic band that can be torn open and does not close airtight, the opened tobacco should be placed in a suitable container for longer storage. Wrapped in golden cardboard, the carefully cut flakes are neatly stacked in the tin. The dark and medium brown marbling shows many black-brown and some yellow inclusions. A sweet, smoky scent wafts into the nose, revealing the Latakia it contains. A short pre-drying would not be a disadvantage, but it's not absolutely necessary.

Plugging:
