Characterisation:
The No name silver is not too dry, but the tobacco should be transferred from the economy pack into an airtight container once it has been opened. The tobaccos are predominantly light and dark brown. Coarse Ready Rubbed chunks of the same color mix in with large leaf chunks underneath. Otherwise the cut is rather medium wide and short. The scent is sweet and spicy and appetizingly reminiscent of german Christmas cake. You should let the No name silver dry for a short time before plugging.
Plugging:
The coarser components of the No name silver require careful darning. Choosing a pipe bowl that is not too small is also good for the course of the smoke. If necessary, you can grate the pieces of leaf and Ready Rubbed a bit before you finally bring the tobacco into the pipe loosely and with only gentle pressure.
Light up:
The pressed components of the mixture tend to straighten up under heat. After careful use of the tamper, a third flame may be needed to create even embers. But then the no name silver burns down evenly.
Smoking properties:
The No name silver delivers a lush and powerful smoke. Roasted and spicy notes typical for Virginias is paired with a rounding flowery aroma, which can probably be attributed to the Cavendish. Lovers of tobaccos grouped under the term "Irish" will be reminded of them. The soft aromas are reminiscent of perfume and floral-scented soap, without being overwhelming or even drowning out the intense base tobaccos. The burning behaviour is - if the No name silver is well prepared - calm and even. All that remains is some dark gray ash and hardly any condensate, making cleaning easy.
Redolency:
It is thanks to the Irish character that the No name silver seems like real tobacco in the room, but is perceived by non-smokers as more pleasant than many other tobaccos. Nevertheless, one should be sure of the tolerance of his society towards smokers.
Conclusion:
The No name silver is a varied mixture of finer light and dark brown tobaccos with coarse leaf pieces and Ready Rubbed. If you pay attention to the careful preparation required for such mixtures, the tobacco burns down quiet and without any problems. A little experience with Irish tobaccos doesn't hurt either, otherwise the florally scented aromas could be irritating. However, these have a natural effect and harmonize perfectly with the strong Virginia spice. The smoke is rich and medium strong. For the No name silver is not a burden, but it is less suitable for beginners and more for smokers who have a preference for Irish tobaccos or are looking for something special.
