Torpedo MK52 - Torpedo 160mm / 20,6mm / 20er Kiste
Balmoral Añejo XO
The Balmoral Añejo XO is in many ways a discovery among hand-rolled cigars. Created out of passionate curiosity, it combines sophisticated complexity with approachable lightness in an ideal balance. Fulfilling this standard is by no means an easy task; rather, it is the result of an unrelenting search for the top five percent of premium tobaccos, including the outstanding, exclusive Mata Norte from Brazil. Each of the four different Balmoral Añejo XO blends consists of tobaccos matured to perfection, producing a unique flavor profile.
The Añejo XO inherits a great legacy in terms of exceptional quality, taste, and reputation. Yet it lives up to this heritage and is the rightful successor to the Añejo 18 series and the Torpedo Mk-48 from 2014. The Añejo XO (eXceptionally Old) impresses with its medium to full body and masterfully combines complex aromas with notes of cedarwood, spices, cocoa, and a sweet undertone. Just as its predecessors made a name for themselves, the Añejo XO ignites enthusiasm beyond the final draw.
Since the supply of 18-year-old aged wrappers is limited and will soon no longer be available, the successful Torpedo Mk52 will now be continued with the XO series. The Balmoral Añejo XO is the only cigar that can truly compete with the Añejo 18. All tobacco types used are carefully aged, resulting in a refined and complex aroma like no other. The Añejo XO has a medium to full body and delivers a true explosion of complex flavors with notes of cedarwood, spices, cocoa, and a sweet undertone. Wintermans is convinced that the XO matches the Añejo 18 in every respect when it comes to complex and subtle aroma, and is even a bit sweeter and creamier. The name Torpedo Mk52 was inspired by the legendary Mark 48 (abbreviated Mk-48) heavyweight torpedo used by, among others, the Dutch and American navies. With a ring gauge of 52, the Torpedo Mk52 is indeed a powerhouse ready to be fired.
Taste: Complex notes of cedarwood, cocoa, and spices, finishing with a soft, natural sweetness.
