A well done toasting while the production gives an unique taste, which many smoker quote as something incomparable. Slow burning extend the enjoyment. Especially by epicure, who smoke to enjoy.
Characterisation:
The Dark Fragrant is a dark brown, nearly black mixture with loose cut. A piquant smell of sweet Virginia and a hint of cacao come out of the fresh opened tin. The tobacco, obviously subjective, seems to be a little bit damply.
Plugging:
This tobacco should be best simply poured into the pipes bowl and several times dampened until the desired filling is achieved. Due to the cut the tobacco fits well to the wall of the tobacco chamber. It’s recommended to attend that the tobacco wouldn’t be compressed too much!
Light up:
Lighting up should be done with some attention. In fact of the rather short tobacco streaks it is recommended to strike with two or three flames over the hole surface with a slightly drawing at the pipe. Once glowing there is no remarkable tend to swell and it’s not necessary to light up again.
Smoking properties:
The Dark Fragrant could be smoked with a little bit attention without any problems, good-natured and cool. The sweetish taste of Virginia is dominating, but is going with a mild, indefinable smack, which takes a little bit of the Virginias strength. Burning down is dry with less condensate, even though the tobacco feels something damply. At the end a balance of medium grey, fine ash remains.
Redolency:
The redolence is naturally, unobtrusive and affected by Virginia too. A little bit sweeter than pure Virginia, what’ll give the redolence a pleasing note.
Conclusion:
An unobtrusive, but pleasing tobacco, which is optimal for exploring the world of English mixtures. A mild taste, medium strength and a naturally sweetness. The handling is uncomplicated and the smoking properties with a little bit attention very good. Black Cavendish rather slow down the Virginia and gives an additional, naturally sweetness. This tobacco is recommended to be used for the first smoke of new pipes, because it keeps a given neutrality. The Dark Fragrant is comparably suitable for advanced smoker and beginner.
